None of the things I did last week warranted an article in their own right but there were some worthy of note so I summarise them here.
On Tuesday I was ill! I was fine in the morning but at lunch time I started shivering and by the time I finished my lunch I was shaking so badly that I could not manage to unlock my phone. I took the rest of the day off work and went to bed. After sleeping for over three hours I felt a lot better but even on Thursday I was struggling still to do a fitness session.
On Thursday there were elections for our local council. I voted for the Conservative candidate. He was the sitting councillor and seems to have done a reasonable job over the last four years while the Liberal Democrat candidate did not even make any effort to engage with the electorate.
On Saturday I ran the parkrun in Chippenham along with my elder daughter and one of her friends. The last time I had run in Chippenham I had past the friend and she has been telling my daughter that she wanted me to pace her. Having being ill earlier in the week was not ideal preparation but I managed a time of 25:22 and she was 8 seconds in front of me which was a personal best for her, so she was pleased.
